RESIDENT’S CALL FOR PRAYER AND SUPPORT FOR HURRICANE SANDY VICTIMS”Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity: As we recover from the devastation and impact of Hurricane Sandy, I solicit the prayers and support from all Sigma Men for our beloved brothers along the eastern and southeastern regions of our nation. Of critical concern to us all is the health and safety of our members and families. To our collegiate members impacted by the storm, please remain safe by following the directions of your local and university officials. Keep your family members and chapter advisors abreast of your status. We encourage those chapters along the neighboring areas to provide valued assistance in the form of non-perishable food, water, blankets, trash bags, hand sanitizers, cell phone chargers, back up batteries, flashlights, batteries, pet food, candles, manual can openers and battery-powered radios. For shelter assistance, power outage survival tips, and winter storm safety, please visit the American Red Cross website at www.redcross.org or 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767). You can also visit the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at www.fema.govor 1-800-621-3362. For more information, please contact your local emergency management agency, call 2‐1-1, and stay abreast of changing conditions by monitoring updates in your areas. As you seek resilience, our collective prayers are with you. Brother Jimmy Hammock, International President
